Van Vikas Nigam Has Restored Forest Wealth: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh Rajya Van Vikas Nigam accepted the challenge of developing forests on ash mountains formed in the process of mining activities and electricity production in state, and restored forest wealth. Rehabilitating forests in three lakh fifteen thousand hectares is a big achievement. Van Vikas Nigam deserves Praise for this achievement. It is a matter of pride that other states are also eager to take advantage of the Nigam’s expertise. Proper management of forests is being done in the state through updated technology. As a result, the state is the best in the country in terms of forest wealth. The state government is also making every possible effort in the direction of conservation of forests, forest produce, and wildlife. Forest service officers and employees are worthy of praise for protection and better management of dense forest areas of the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the inaugural session of the national workshop organised at the Indian Institute of Forest Management on the occasion of 50th anniversary of the establishment of Rajya Van Vikas Nigam.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, opportunities for capacity building and progress are available in all directions. As a result, special initiatives are being taken in the direction of wildlife conservation in the state. The state government is also working towards establishing zoos and wildlife rescue centres. CM Dr. Yadav said that there is a need for brainstorming on the management of forests developed by the Rajya Van Vikas Nigam and its upcoming action plan. While reviewing the work done so far, the state government is ready to take special innovations and initiatives in the direction of forest development and environmental protection.
