Pune, May 30 (Reporter) Nilesh Chavan, the absconding accused in the Vaishnavi Hagavane suicide case, has been arrested by the special team of Pimpri Chinchwad police near the India-Nepal border, said police today. He was absconding for the past 10 days after the case was registered against him. Pimpri Chinchwad police have registered a case against the entire Hagavane family in the Vaishnavi Hagavane suicide case and arrested them. Nilesh Chavan, who is a friend of Vaishnavi's sister-in-law Karishma Hagavane, has also been made a co-accused in the same case. It is said that Nilesh threatened the family members of Vaishnavi with his revolver when they went to take custody of Vaishnavi's baby after her suicide on May 16.
