pre-teen girl found murdered Kolkata, Oct 5 (Reporter) Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari on Saturday demanded resignation of West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee after a pre-teen girl was allegedly raped and murdered and dumped in a marshi land in South 24 Parganas. " Mamata Must Resign," Adhikari began to allege that " It seems that WB Police haven't learned anything from the unfortunate RG Kar incident when a 31-year-old PGT Doctor was found raped and murdered." The Nandigram MLA said the class IV student of Mahishmari area in Joynagar in South 24-Parganas district, who was on her way to tuition class was missing since yesterday afternoon. The family members along with some neighbours went to the Police Camp to report the On Duty Police personnel. " Later on the villagers marched towards the Police Station where a scuffle broke out between the villagers and the cops." Adhikari said the police have arrested one suspect but it was not enough to calm the irritated villagers who laid siege near police station this morning, hours after the body was found. The whole situation could have been avoided if the Police could have just done their duty yesterday. " The State Govt, Administration, Top Cops are always paying lip service how the State is safe for women and how CCTVs are being installed and preparedness is being increased to enhance women safety, but in reality no one is monitoring the CCTVs when it is actually required in real time and the Police are just planning how to suppress any spontaneous protest with brute force, " Adhikari claimed...////...
