Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that a stadium worth Rs. 10 crore will be built in Chhatarpur. Along with this, a 30-acre gaushala, a Kanya Vivah Bhavan, and a community hall worth Rs. 1 crore will also be constructed. The construction of a new medical college will be expedited, and an adjoining hospital will be set up.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that with the completion of the Sagar–Kabrai four-lane road under the MP–UP Economic Corridor, the travel time from divisional headquarters Sagar to Chhatarpur will be reduced to just two hours. On Saturday, he participated in the Shri Krishna Janmashtami Mahotsav at Chhatarpur, where he also broke the traditional ‘makhan-filled matki’ and joined a roadshow.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said, “Lord Ram traveled from North to South and Lord Krishna from East to West. To understand Indian culture, one must remember them. Across the world, India is identified with Shri Ram and Shri Krishna. Their courage to fight great powers and destroy evil in its own territory inspires us.” He further said Bundelkhand is the land of warriors, recalling the valor of Maharaja Chhatrasal and heroes Alha-Udal. He praised Chhatarpur’s glorious past, highlighting Khajuraho World Heritage Site, Panna’s diamonds and Panna’s tigers.
