Mumbai, June 27 (Reporter) Registering an all time high on Wednesday, the BSE Sensex on Thursday declined 85 points at 78588.84 in opening session on profit booking by local operators amid weak global peers.
While, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose marginally by 6 points at 23,874.85.
The Sensex registered intraday highs and lows at 78,790.33 and 77,784.34 points respectively.
The NSE registered days high and low at 23,974.70 and 23,805.40 points respectively.
The Mid cap rose 0.20 pc while Small Cap fell by 0.12 pc.
In 30 scrips, 11 advanced while 19 declined.
The losers were Maruti Suzuki by 1.47 pc to Rs 12017.60, Tech Mahindra by 1.08 pc to Rs 1397.20, L & T by 1.02 pc to Rs 3569.20 and HCL Technologies by 1 pc to Rs 1398.35.
The gainers were Ultracemco by 3.77 pc to Rs 11570.05, JSW Steel by 1.60 pc to Rs 934.10, Hind Unilever by 0.90 pc to Rs 2468.75 and Tata Steel by 0.52 pc to Rs 173.45...////...
