Sensex ends marginally weak by 33 points

Mumbai, June 11 (Reporter) The BSE Sensex remained negative for another session on Tuesday, slipping 33.49 points to settle at 76456.59 as metal, health care, and consumer durable stocks were weak amid weak global cues. While the National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 5.65 points to 23264.85. Though the market was volatile, it was closed in negative only, as the Sensex jumped 290 points to 76680.90 in the opening session. It rallied 370 points at 76860.53 days high. In late trade, it erased earlier gains and plummeted nearly 194 points at 76296.44, days low, before closing at 76456.59, easing 33.49 points from its previous close. The NSE registered days high and low at 23389.45 and 22206.65 points, respectively. The stocks that fell were health care by 0.22 pc, metal by 0.09 pc, and consumer durable by 0.04 pc. In 30 scrips, 15 advanced and 15 declined. The mid cap rose 0.74 pc and the small cap by 0.95 pc. The losers were Kotak Bank by 1.25 pc to Rs 1723.60, Asian Paints by 1.22 pc to Rs 2901, Reliance Industries by 0.90 pc to Rs 2914, ITC by 0.87 pc to Rs 432.95, and Sun Pharma by 0.76 pc to Rs 1501. The gainers were L&T by 1.52 pc to Rs 3596, Maruti Suzuki by 1.27 pc to Rs 12865, Tata Motors by 1.24 pc to Rs 986.90, and NTPC by 0.85 pc to Rs 367.65...////...
