Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Raksha Bandhan is not just a festival, but a symbol of the eternal bond between brother and sister in Indian culture, which strengthens social unity and family values. Raksha Bandhan is not only a celebration of Brother-Sister love, but also conveys the message of women’s dignity and social security. The Chief Minister said that a unique feature of Indian culture is that every relationship is defined and revered. Referring to the Raksha Bandhan story of Draupadi and Lord Krishna, he said it symbolizes the power of the Brother-Sister bond, where Lord Krishna fulfilled the pledge to protect Draupadi for life. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Madhya Pradesh government is continuously working for the welfare and empowerment of sisters.
On Thursday, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav transferred ₹1859 crore into the accounts of 1 crore 26 lakh 89 thousand Ladli Behna of the state at the state-level event of the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana held in Narsinghgarh, Rajgarh district. Additionally, under the Ujjwala Yojana, assistance amounting to ₹43.90 crore was transferred with a single click to more than 28 lakh sisters. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also distributed benefits under various schemes. The program was inaugurated by lighting a lamp and performing Kanya Pujan.
