Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has stated that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the leadership of Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, the strategy implemented to combat Left-Wing Extremism is leading towards its complete eradication. CM Dr. Yadav expressed his views in response to the information shared by Union Home Minister Shri Shah on social media regarding the recent surrenders of Naxalites in Chhattisgarh on Thursday and Maharashtra on Wednesday.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that 170 Naxalites in Chhattisgarh and 61 in Maharashtra have laid down arms and returned to the mainstream. He described this as a historic achievement. CM Dr. Yadav said that those who renounce violence and choose to surrender are always welcome back into the mainstream. He stated that the security forces remain fully committed to taking strict action against Naxalism. In the past two days, a total of 258 Left-Wing Extremists have abandoned the path of violence. CM Dr. Yadav emphasised that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi and Home Minister Shri Shah, the government’s sustained efforts have significantly curtailed Naxalism in the country.
