MV Govidan re-elected as CPI(M) State Secretary

Kollam, Mar 9 (Reporter) CPI(M) Kerala State Conference unanimously elected an 89-member State Committee with 17 new faces and re-elected MV Govidan as the State Secretary, here on Sunday. The newly elected 17 members are Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, MV Govindan, EP Jayarajan, KK Shailaja, TM Thomas Issac, TP Ramakrishnan, KN Balagopal, P Rajeeve, KK Jayachandran, VN Vasavan, Saji Cheriyan, M Swaraj, PA Muhammed Riyaz, PK Biju, Puthalath Dineshan, MV Jayrajan, and CN Mohanan. The four-day delegate session, attended by 530 people -- 486 delegates and 44 observers including 75 women -- was inaugurated by CPIM Politbureau member Prakash Karat on March 6. State Secretary M V Govindan Presented the organisational report which was unanimously adopted after discussion by the delegates. 47 delegates including 12 women participated in the discussion. The document "Nava Keralathilekkulla Puthuvazhikal" (New Paths for a New Kerala) was presented at the conference by Politburo member and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan...////...
