Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is making rapid progress in development while preserving its rich heritage. In keeping with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, the state is emerging as a leader in heritage conservation and innovative development initiatives. The grand staging of the epic drama ‘Samrat Vikramaditya’ has become a medium to showcase our rich heritage and glorious history. He highlighted Ujjain as a historic city where Lord Krishna received his education at Sandipani Ashram and it is blessed by Baba Mahakal. Samrat Vikramaditya ruled with the virtues of the Satya Yuga even in the Kali Yuga, with righteousness, wisdom, generosity and valor, earning renown as a great ruler. He also introduced the Vikram Samvat calendar.

Significant Steps for State Development

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted several innovative initiatives undertaken for the development over the past two years. In just a year and a half, 18 medical colleges have been established. Madhya Pradesh is leading the way in setting up Ayurvedic medical institutions. PM Excellence Colleges have been opened in every district, while police bands formed across the state have enhanced the dignity of official events and earned appreciation for their performances. Members have also received comprehensive training. The MP police band was notably featured in the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in Kevadia, Gujarat, a matter of pride and honor for the state. He also referred to the illustrious King Bhoj, whose reign was nearly a thousand years after Samrat Vikramaditya and whose legacy lives on in landmarks like the Bhojtal in Bhopal. Such events commemorating visionary rulers and champions of Indian culture and good governance will persist.

Extending greetings and best wishes to the citizens at the conclusion of the ‘Abhyudaya Madhya Pradesh’ Foundation Day programs, CM Dr. Yadav reiterated the importance of celebrating the state’s rich past and vibrant progress.

Assembly Speaker Shri Narendra Singh Tomar praised Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s sustained efforts in cultural endeavors and the nearly two-decade work to bring Vikramaditya’s legacy to the stage. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla commended CM Dr. Yadav’s guidance in the cultural sphere.
