Ujjain Airport to Become Pride of State : CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that upcoming airport in ‘Baba Mahakal’s city will give city a new identity on global aviation map and enhance the state’s international prestige. The state government is systematically advancing infrastructure development in the aviation sector. The expansion of air connectivity will boost tourism and business, but more importantly, every citizen will witness their dream of experienceing air journey become a reality. He said that Madhya Pradesh is truly emerging as the ‘Heart of India.’ With support from the Central Government, the state is moving rapidly towards making air travel a pleasant and joyable experience for all.

Madhya Pradesh is set to become the first state in the country with two international airports and a network of inter-state and intra-state air services.The target is to complete the Ujjain airport before the Simhastha Mahakumbh Mela in year 2028 so that millions of religious pilgrims from across the country and abroad can easily and quickly reach the city of Baba Mahakal. The government's plan to develop airstrips in all districts will enable small aircraft and helicopter services to connect even the most remote areas to the capital and major cities.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that with Baba Mahakal's blessings, Madhya Pradesh is achieving new milestones of progress. The airport in Ujjain is not just a project, but a symbol of the state’s devotion, service, and pride. The government’s expansion of aviation facilities includes plans for airstrips in all districts. The launch of PM Shree air ambulance, PM Shree air tourism airplane service, and PM Shree air tourism helicopter service makes Madhya Pradesh the first state in the country to start intra-state air services. The new airport in Ujjain will embody the state’s journey of devotion, prosperity and good governance.
