Mumbai, Feb 26 (Reporter) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday gave instructions to create a separate Kumbh Mela Authority for Simhastha Kumbh Mela to be held in 2027 at Nashik Trimbakeshwar.
He also instructed to plan for this Simhastha Kumbh to be known as 'Digital Technology Kumbh'.
He was speaking at a review meeting held here under his chairmanship regarding preparations of Simhastha Kumbh Mela to be held in Nashik-Trimbakeshwar in the year 2027.
Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan, Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik, Nashik Divisional
Commissioner Dr Praveen Gedam, Collector Jalaj Sharma, Municipal Commissioner Manisha Khatri
along with secretaries of various departments were present for the meeting.
On this occasion, the recommendation of a team from Nashik that had been sent to inquire about preparations for the Mahakumbh Mela at Prayagraj were were reviewed.
Fadnavis gave suggestion for using digital technology and artificial intelligence in Kumbh Mela planning.
In view of huge crowds witnessed at Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, the Chief Minister suggested for management of crowd, to plan for number of ghats, road, rail and air traffic and to extend Nashik-Trimbak road by 24 metres.
The Chief Minister also directed to carry out a drone survey to see if a coastal road can be constructed on the banks of the Godavari river...////...
