Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that hundreds of families originally from Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh have been residing in Kenya for a long time. For the past three years, natives from these two states have come together in an organised manner, significantly enhancing the honor of Indian culture and traditions. Through their hard work, honesty, diligence and vitality, they are contributing to Kenya’s progress and development. They play an active role in Kenya’s social, cultural and economic life. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav remarked that Kenya feels like a second home. He expressed his pride that our people have strongly preserved their identity and culture on foreign soil. The power of unity was clearly reflected in the programme. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav remarked, “Just as our cheetahs leap in Kenya, South African cheetahs now leap in the forests of Madhya Pradesh. Soon, cheetahs from Kenya will also find their home in Madhya Pradesh.”

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was virtually addressing the Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day celebrations held in Nairobi, Kenya. Members of the Indian community in Kenya marked the occasion with vibrant cultural performances showcasing the rich traditions and heritage of Madhya Pradesh.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has carved out a unique place for itself as a progressive state on the global stage. He stated that celebrating Madhya Pradesh’s Foundation Day in an international city like Nairobi is an achievement in itself and a matter of pride and happiness. The state government is moving forward with the resolve of "Developed Madhya Pradesh, Prosperous India," and the involvement of the Indian diaspora will strengthen this journey even further. He called on people from Madhya Pradesh living abroad to help spread the state's progress and identity on the global stage.
