Jairam Thakur slams HP govt over ‘corruption’

Dehra (Kangra), July 8 (Reporter) Himachal Pradesh Assembly’s Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur on Monday cornered Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on the alleged corruption in his government. Seeking votes for BJP candidate Hoshiar Singh in Dehra constituency on the last day of campaigning for the July 10 bye-election, Thakur said scams were coming to light every day in the state but the Chief Minister was silent. He said people of the state have completely rejected the corrupt government and its head. By defeating the Chief Minister and 10 ministers in their respective Assembly segments in the Lok Sabha elections, the people have made their stand clear that there is no place for corrupt people in the state. Thakur said voters of Dehra have sent Hoshiar Singh to the Assembly twice without the support of any party and they will repose faith in him once again, despite alleged intimidation by the Chief Minister. He said the by-election’s result on July 13 will make it clear that the people of Dehra are not afraid of the Chief Minister whose wife Kamlesh is contesting from the constituency as Congress candidate...////...
