Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has emphasized the need for the conservation and restoration of the state's water resources. He stated that the rivers, lakes, and other water sources of the state are the foundation of life, and both the government and society must remain vigilant to protect, rejuvenate, and manage them effectively.
To achieve this objective, a three-month Jal Ganga Conservation Campaign is being launched in the state. This state-level campaign will be conducted from March 30 to June 30, and every possible effort must be made to ensure its success. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav gave crucial instructions to collectors through a video conference from the ministry on Friday evening. He also unveiled a published booklet on the State-Level Jal Ganga Conservation Campaign.
Dr. Yadav instructed collectors and officials to involve senior administrative officers and public representatives at the district level in the campaign. He emphasized that public participation in cleaning and maintaining water sources would yield effective results. He directed that officials and employees from various departments work together to achieve the campaign’s objectives.
The departments of Panchayat & Rural Development, Water Resources, Narmada Valley Development Authority, Urban Development & Housing, Horticulture, Agriculture, Public Health Engineering, Industry, Environment, School Education, Culture, Public Relations, Revenue, and Forest will be key participants in this campaign, along with Jan Abhiyan Parishad. Based on local strategies, collectors may also seek support from other departments.
