Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has emphasized that unemployment cannot be eradicated solely through government jobs. In a country like India, with a population of 1.45 billion, the proportion of government jobs is not more than 1%. Even the country’s largest employer, the Armed Forces—including the Army, Navy, and Air Force—employs only 1.35 million personnel. To address this, the state is making efforts to connect aspirational youth with employment through self-reliance and entrepreneurship. From now on, unemployed youth in the state will be referred to as ‘Aspirational-Youth(Akankshi Yuva). ’

Speaking at a fireside chat session titled "How States Add to India's Story" organized by a private news channel in Delhi on Friday, Dr. Yadav shared that Madhya Pradesh has received investment proposals worth over Rs. 30 lakh crore through the Global Investors Summit and Regional Industry Conclaves. These investments will generate employment for 21 lakh youth. Additionally, young people will be engaged in agriculture, animal husbandry, and skill-based enterprises.

Dr. Yadav proudly stated that Madhya Pradesh is the fastest-growing state in India. Currently, the state's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is ₹15 lakh crore, with an annual growth rate of 12%. In 2002-03, the per capita income of the state was ₹11,000, which has now increased to Rs.1,52,000.

He further highlighted that in 2002-03, the irrigated area in the state was only 7 lakh hectares, which has now expanded to 55 lakh hectares. The government is working towards increasing this figure to 1 crore hectares. Madhya Pradesh’s current budget stands at Rs. 4.21 lakh crore, and only 10% of capital investments have been borrowed from the market.
