Kolkata, Apr 21 (Reporter) West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose was admitted to Command Hospital in Kolkata on Monday morning after experiencing mild pain on his shoulder. Sources in the hospital said that he had his pain because of his hectic schedule for the last two days. Though his condition is stable, doctors have advised him to stay under observation in the hospital for another day. “After his hectic field visits, HG had a mild shoulder pain. He visited the Command Hospital for a routine check-up. The pain has subsided, but the doctors advised him to rest and wanted to keep him on a routine observation for a day,” a Raj Bhawan press release said. Earlier, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee visited the governor at the hospital before proceeding to Salboni in Midnapore, where she was scheduled to inaugurate a power plant. Her visit took place shortly before she departed by helicopter from Dumurjala Stadium in Howrah. Speaking to the media before her departure, the chief minister expressed concern over the governor’s health. “The governor is not well. So, I went to see him in Command Hospital. I wish him a speedy recovery,” she said. Officials have not yet released further details regarding the governor’s condition or the cause of the discomfort.
