Ranchi, Apr 21 (Reporter) Eight naxalites were killed in an alleged encounter with police at the foothills of Lugu Hill in Bokaro district of Jharkhand on Monday morning. Bokaro Range DIG Surendra Kumar Jha confirmed the discovery of numerous sophisticated weapons. According to police, the incident occurred near Soso Tola at the Lugu mountain's base in Chorgaon, Bokaro district, near Lalmatia. Intermittent firing is still going on between the police and Naxalites in the foothills of Lugu Hill near Soso Tola, sources said. Bokaro SP Manoj Sawargiari informed that the police have surrounded the Naxalites.
