Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav participated in the grand Bihari Samaj Sneh Milan programme held in Indore on Saturday to mark Bihari Day. On the occasion, he lauded the talent, intellect, and diligence of the people of Bihar. Dr. Yadav highlighted the historical ties between Bihar and Madhya Pradesh, noting that since ancient times, Pataliputra and Avantika have stood as prominent centres of power in India’s glorious past. While Pataliputra served as the capital of Emperor Ashoka, it was from Madhya Pradesh that his descendants began the journey of spreading Buddhism to Sri Lanka. He also remarked that the sacred waters of the Ganga carry with them the essence of Madhya Pradesh, as several rivers originating in the state eventually flow into the Ganga.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the able leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Bihar has created new dimensions of development and in the coming days, this wheel of development will turn even faster. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also announced to develop a ghat for Chhath Puja and organize Chhath Mela in Indore on the demand of Bihari community. MP Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad from Bihar, MLA Sushri Gayatri Devi, State Urban and Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, MP Shri Shankar Lalwani, Rajya Sabha member Sushri Kavita Patidar along with MLAs and other public representatives were present in the program.
