Jashpur, May 27 (Reporter) A speeding pickup vehicle overturned in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh, injuring over 12 passengers, including five children and seven women. All the passengers were heading to Dharamjaygarh from Ludeg Math Pahad to attend a marriage ceremony when the pickup vehicle suddenly lost balance and overturned into a pit on the roadside near Ludeg village in Pathalgaon police station area. The accident caused panic among the passengers, with many getting trapped inside the vehicle. Upon receiving information about the incident, local residents rushed to the scene and began rescue operations. The villagers used a JCB machine to rescue those trapped inside the vehicle. One young woman was pinned under the pickup for nearly an hour and was later rescued after the vehicle was lifted using the JCB machine. Her condition is reported to be serious.
