Centre approves three expressways for Bihar, others in pipeline : Minister

Patna, Mar 7 (Reporter) Road Construction Minister Nitin Naveen on Friday said that Centre had approved three expressways which would pass through Bihar and it would also be high speed corridor. Naveen while replying to debate on budgetary demand of his department in assembly, said that Centre was committed to ensure quality roads in Bihar and all assistance was being given in this connection. The Centre had approved three expressways which would also be high speed corridor in Bihar, he added. "Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata expressway, Patna-Purnea expressway and Gorakhpur- Siliguri expressway projects have been approved by the Centre ", the Minister said and added that process for approval of Raxaul- Haldia expressway and Buxar-Bhagalpur expressway was in progress. A request for approval of Pashupatinath- Baidyanath high speed corridor and Narayani Ganga high speed greenfield corridor had also been made by the state government and Centre was expected to give its nod soon...////...
