Patna, Mar 7 (Reporter) Senior RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Friday promised that separate department for welfare of physically challenged persons would be created, if RJD was voted to power in next Bihar Assembly election. Yadav, while addressing a meeting of physically challenged persons organised by his party here, said that Nitish Kumar government had not given due attention to welfare of physically challenged persons during its long tenure of twenty years. Bihar was a state having third highest population of physically challenged persons in the country but they were not being taken care of, he lamented. "We will create a separate department for welfare of physically challenged persons if our party is voted to power in next Bihar Assembly election to be held in October November this year", the RJD leader said, adding that a commission would also be constituted to look into problems being faced by physically challenged persons and also suggest the government on measures required to be taken for their welfare and development. The monthly pension for physically challenged persons had not been increased from Rs 400 for the last 15 years, he pointed out. If RJD was voted to power, his government would increase monthly pension for physically challenged persons from Rs 400 to Rs 1500, the former Deputy CM promised...////...
