Patna , Feb. 23 (Reporter) Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) alleged that BJP was repeatedly presenting Kisan Samman Yojna, running continuously since 2019, as a festival to polish its image. RJD spokesperson Chitranjan Gagan said here on Sunday that it is regrettable that BJP was branding its image through this scheme which was humiliating for the farmers. The amount which is up to Rs 16.60 every day, given to the farmers cannot fetch even two cups of tea for them, he alleged saying that huge amounts of money were publicised in the name of Kisan Samman, but only Rs 500 is given to the selected farmer in a month, which is one day's wages of agricultural labourers. Gagan said that the manner in which the proposed Bhagalpur visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was being published was just propaganda to confuse the people of Bihar. He asked the BJP to explain the fate of the announcement made by the then Union Minister in 2014 for establishing a software technology park in Bhagalpur and Darbhanga. Inauguration of conversion of Warisaliganj Nawada Tilaiya rail section into Broad gauge was an old scheme of 2016 which had to be finished by March 2021 but due to negligence of the centre it was completed after 4 years of its stipulated period. The RJD spokesperson alleged that similar was the situation of other schemes proposed to be inaugurated on Monday. Training his guns towards the prime minister's visit to Bhagalpur, Gagan said that no one should consider Bihar as an ignorant state and maintained that its talent was recognised all over the world.
