Itanagar, Feb 23 (Reporter) Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat is set to embark on a four-day visit to Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh from February 27 to March 2. This visit is part of the organization’s broader preparations for its centenary celebrations, a local leader said on Sunday. The RSS, founded by Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar in 1925, will enter its centenary year on the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami 2025, with year-long programs planned to commemorate this historic milestone. During his stay, the Sarsanghchalak will engage with RSS functionaries from across Arunachal Pradesh, discussing key topics such as personality development, patriotism, national integration, and the expansion of the organisation through Shakhas. Dr Bhagwat will also share his vision on how the RSS' “Panch Parivartan” (five initiatives for social transformation) — Social Harmony, Civic Duties, Environmental Protection, Swadeshi, and Family Values — can be spread to all sections of society, contributing to the holistic development of the nation. On February 27, the RSS Sarsanghchalak will interact with approximately 130 indigenous faith leaders, representing various tribes of Arunachal Pradesh. The next day, he will address a gathering of swayamsevaks at Seva Dham, Lekhi village, featuring patriotic group songs and mass PT (yoga) performances. A key highlight of his visit will be a two-day residential Prant Karyakarta Shivir at Abotani Vidya Niketan, Pachin village, Naharlagun, from February 28.
