Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav received a courtesy visit from Bihar’s Sports Minister Ms Shreyasi Singh and Bihar’s Director General of Sports Shri Ravindran Shankaran at Samatva Bhavan in Chief Minister’s residence. Chief Minister Dr Yadav welcomed Ms Singh by presenting a bouquet, an angavastram and a metal craft memento depicting Shri Ram Darbar. Ms Singh presented the Chief Minister with a replica of Bodhi Tree and an angavastram. On this occasion, State Sports Director Shri Rakesh Gupta was also present.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Dr Yadav shared details of the initiatives being undertaken in Madhya Pradesh to promote sports. A five-member delegation from Bihar, led by Sports Minister Ms Shreyasi Singh, is on a visit to the state to study activities related to expansion of sports, enhancement of players’ skills and talent, and intensive training in view of national and international competitions. The Bihar delegation also visited Shooting Academy, Equestrian Academy, Water Sports Centre, T.T. Nagar Stadium, Sports Science Centre and other facilities. The delegation also gathered information about sports promotion activities being conducted at gram panchayat, development block and district levels in the state.
