Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Ratlam has gained international recognition for its sev, gold and saris, which have given the city a distinct identity. Ratlam is a city of self-respecting and hardworking people who create their own identity through their work. The best example of this is Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Minister Shri Chaitanya Kashyap.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing a felicitation ceremony organized by the people of Ratlam at Samvad Bhavan (Chief Minister’s residence) to mark the inclusion of Ratlam in the Indore Metropolitan Region. Addressing the ceremony, MSME Minister Shri Kashyap said that Ratlam being included in the Metropolitan Region without even demanding it is a great gift for the people of Ratlam. Ratlam’s in-charge minister Dr. Vijay Shah said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is a leader who is realizing the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Ratlam already has immense potential for industrial development. To realize these possibilities, Ratlam has been included in the Metropolitan Region. Nagda and Khachrod had already been included earlier, and therefore it was natural to include Ratlam as well, which is rich in unlimited possibilities. With Ratlam now joining Indore and Ujjain, the Metropolitan Region will develop with the combined strength of a “triple engine.” Thanking the people of Ratlam for the felicitation, the Chief Minister said that the Chief Minister’s residence is the home of the people of the state.
MSME Minister Shri Kashyap said that Madhya Pradesh has witnessed unprecedented development over the last two years. The vision of the Metropolitan Region is the result of the Chief Minister’s unique passion for development. The Global Investors Summit organized in Bhopal in 2025, regional industrial conclaves held across various divisions, and the Metropolitan Region initiative reflect Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s broad and forward-looking vision for the development of Madhya Pradesh.
At Samvad Bhavan, representatives of Ratlam’s Joint Traders’ Association, Sarafa Association, sports organizations, Grain Merchants’ Association, Bar Association, Medical Association and various other organizations felicitated Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. District President Shri Pradeep Upadhyay, Mayor of Ratlam Municipal Corporation Shri Prahlad Patel, Municipal Corporation Chairperson Smt. Manisha Sharma and other representatives were present at the ceremony.
