Gorakhpur, Jan 3 (Reporter) Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Goraksha Peethadheeshwar on Friday performed Rudrabhishek at the Gorakhnath Temple, and offered prayers to Lord Shiva for the well-being and prosperity of the people of the state. On the occasion of Shukla Paksha Chaturthi (Vinayak Chaturthi) in the month of Paush, the CM performed the Rudrabhishek ritual at the Gorakhnath Temple, which included a havan. At the Shakti Temple on the first floor of the Gorakhnath Temple, Yogi offered ‘Bilva Patra,’ lotus flowers, ‘durva,’ and other sacred materials to Lord Shiv. He then conducted the Rudrabhishek using milk, curd, ghee, sugar, and holy water brought from various pilgrimage sites. The temple priests concluded the ritual by chanting the Mahamantras from the Rudrashtadhyayi of the Shukla Yajurveda Samhita. After Rudrabhishek, the CM performed havan amidst the recitation of Vedic mantras. Once the rituals were concluded, he offered prayers to Lord Shiva, seeking the welfare of the nation and wishing all citizens a healthy, happy, prosperous, and peaceful life...////...
