Chandigarh, Jan 2 (Reporter) Haryana’s Development and Panchayat Minister Krishan Lal Panwar on Thursday ordered the immediate suspension of five government employees in Israna block under Panipat district in connection with corruption charges. The employees included Israna's BDPO, accountant, assistant and two Junior Engineers for their alleged involvement in a scam of iron benches, hand pumps and water coolers installed at public places. Panwar said Block Committee Israna's Chairman Harpal Malik had complained to him that the department's BDPO and other employees have committed irregularities in development works. When the matter came to Panwar's notice, an investigation was conducted and irregularities worth several lakhs of rupeewere found.
