Chennai, Feb 26 (Reporter) After the ruling DMK and the BJP in Tamil Nadu launched 'Get Out Modi'
and 'Get Out Stalin' campaigns in the social media over NEP and the three-language policy, the fledgling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) Founder and actor Vijay launched a 'Get Out' signature campaign against those two parties, on Wednesday.
Vijay launched the campaign at the start of the second anniversary meeting of TVK at private hall
at Mahabalipuram, about 55 km from here, by inking his signature to condemn the State and the Centre governments for their alleged anti-people policies.
The ‘Get Out’ campaign was aimed at opposing the New Education Policy (NEP-2020), imposition
of 3-language policy, denial of funds to the State by the Centre and against the DMK government.
TVK cadres displayed banners with messages like “Get Out” against caste-based discrimination
and corruption.
With the hashtag #GetOut (BJP and DMK), the campaign demanded the ouster of the ruling DMK
and the BJP-led government at the Centre (whom he described as political and ideological enemies at the TVK's maiden political conference), for their alleged failure to address the concerns of the people.
Vijay referred to the imposition of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the controversial three-language policy as examples of the governments’ disregard for the unique cultural and linguistic fabric of Tamil Nadu.
Let us resolve to #GetOut the central and state governments for their imposition addressing the critical grievances of the people," Vijay declared, calling for a collective movement to hold both governments accountable for their actions.
"We cannot afford to turn a blind eye to the sufferings of the people," he asserted, while calling
upon the citizens of Tamil Nadu to join the movement to bring about a change", he said.
Senior TVK leaders, including General Secretary Anand, and Chief Election Campaign General Secretary Aadhav Arjuna also signed the campaign...////...
