Mumbai, Apr 4 (Reporter) In a massive jolt to the Congress, former MLA Yusuf Abrahani, a prominent Muslim face of the grand old party in Mumbai, has resigned. Abrahani has sent his resignation to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. Abrahani resigned as the Sr .Vice President of Mumbai Regional Congress Committee and also membership of the party. However, he has not assigned any reason for his departure. He has also not specified his future journey. In the letter to Kharge, a copy of which was also sent to Mumbai Congress President Prof Varsha Gaikwad, he has thanked the Congress and the affection he has received. Abrahani, a lawyer by profession, is also associated with several Muslim organisations and associations. He is currently the Chairman of Islam Gymkhana.
