Pune, Apr 4 (Reporter) Day temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at isolated places over Haryana, Delhi; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at a few places over Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh; at isolated places over Punjab, west Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch, Assam and Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal The day temperatures were above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at most places over Uttarakhand; at many places over Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura; at a few places over Gangetic West Bengal, Gujarat region; at isolated places over east Rajasthan. These were markedly below normal (-5.1°C or less) at isolated places over east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha; appreciably below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Telangana; below normal (-3.0°C to -1.6°C) at most places over Rayalaseema, north interior Karnataka; at many places over south interior Karnataka; at a few places over Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Chhattisgarh; at isolated places over west Madhya Pradesh, Kerala and Mahe, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and near normal over rest parts of the country. On Thursday, the highest maximum temperature of 43.0°C was reported at Surendranagar (Saurashtra and Kutch) over the country. Squally/Gusty winds prevailed at isolated locations over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana, interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Hailstorm occurred at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada and Telangana. Heatwave conditions prevailed at isolated pockets over Saurashtra and Kutch. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at many places in Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep and at a few places in Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Marathwada, north interior Karnataka and Kerala and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Odisha, Jharkhand, west Uttar Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, west Madhya Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh and coastal Karnataka. Mainly dry weather has prevailed in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat State.
