Raebareli, Aug 20 (Reporter) Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday met the family of a Dalit man who was murdered in Nasirabad in Raebareli of Uttar Pradesh a few days ago. According to sources from the Congress Party, the Raebareli MP stood in solidarity with the victim's family and stated that he stands firmly with the Dalits of the country. At Fursatganj Airport, Gandhi instructed the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police of Raebareli to ensure immediate and stern action in the Arjun Pasi murder case. It's worth noting that a few days ago in Pichwaria village of Nasirabad, a young Dalit man Arjun Pasi was brutally shot dead over a minor dispute. Following this, the police had arrested several accused. Rahul said that as the MP of Raebareli, he will bring pressure on the government and administration to ensure justice for the victim's family and won't allow any injustice to happen to them. The former Congress President directly confronted with Superintendent of Police Abhishek Agarwal, saying that while he's arresting minor players, no action is being taken against the mastermind of this murder. He said that atrocities are being committed against the Dalit family. The deceased owned a barber shop where the accused would come for haircuts and shaves but wouldn't pay, leading to disputes, which ultimately resulted in the Dalit youth being shot dead.
