UP: Four killed, 2 seriously injured as tanker hits car in Shahjahanpur

Shahjahanpur, Jan 25 (Reporter) Four persons were killed and two others seriously injured when the car in which they were travelling was hit by a tanker at Allahganj area of Shahjahanpur district in Uttar Pradesh, a senior police officer said here on Saturday. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajesh S said that the accident took place on Farrukhabad Bareilly state highway near Katiuli village under Allahganj police station area late on Friday night. The tanker coming from Farrukhabad hit the car returning from a wedding ceremony. "While four persons died on the spot, two others sustained serious injuries," he said. The SSP said that the deceased have been identified as Rahul Kumar (25), Vinay Sharma (27), Akash (22) and Gopal (24), all residents of Dahina village. "Rohit (35) and Rajat (34), residents of Gora village, were seriously injured in the incident," Rajesh said. He said that the police force immediately reached the spot after getting the information and admitted the injured to the Government Medical College. "The tanker has been impounded by the police and efforts are being made to trace its driver, who is absconding after the incident," the senior police officer said...////...
