Lucknow, June 4 (Reporter) In the initial round of counting for 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh the INDIA bloc led by Samajwadi Party (SP) is leading on 30 seats, whereas ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led National Democratic Alliance is leading on 34 seats.
As per the data of the Election Commission SP is leading on 30 seats, BJP on 34 seats, Congress on 6, Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) on 2 and Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) on 1 seat.
As per the initial trends Prime Minister Narendra Modi is trailing in in Varanasi by 4,089 votes from his nearest rival Ajay Rai of Congress, whereas Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is leading in Lucknow. Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi is leading in Rae Bareli.
In Amethi, Union Minister Smriti Irani is trailing by 5,377 votes over her nearest rival Kishori Lal Sharma of Congress. In Faizabad, BJP's Lallu Singh is leading by a hairline margin of 266 votes over his nearest rival and sitting MLA Awadhesh Prasad...////...
