Hyderabad, June 16 (Reporter) Union Coals and Mines Minister and Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy on Monday conducted a detailed inspection of Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad, assessing its infrastructure, services, and staffing.
Accompanied by hospital authorities, Reddy examined the hospital premises and interacted with the superintendent and medical staff to gather information about various departments. He also visited the oxygen plant that was established during the Covid-19 pandemic and inspected its functionality.
The minister expressed concern over the hospital's drainage system and suggested that it be upgraded to ensure better hygiene and maintenance.
During his visit, Reddy sought detailed information about the hospital’s staffing situation. He enquired about the number of vacancies, availability of medical personnel, and whether there was a shortage of doctors. He also asked how many doctors are currently employed.
Reddy examined the scope of surgeries performed at the hospital and reviewed the availability of diagnostic services and medical tests. He interacted with patients to understand their experience and the quality of medical services provided.
Further, he reviewed the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme at the hospital. He sought data on the number of posts sanctioned under the scheme, the categories of positions filled, and the extent of services being rendered under it.
The minister also questioned staff regarding the most commonly registered cases and the nature of ailments currently being treated. He ensured that medical tests are being conducted efficiently and that diagnostic services are accessible to all patients, a statement said...////...
