Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, while addressing the Farmers' Conference in Balaghat, announced a significant benefit for paddy farmers in the state. He stated that paddy farmers will now receive an additional benefit of Rs 4,000 per hectare. Additionally, wheat farmers will be given a bonus of Rs 175 per quintal.

Dr. Yadav highlighted that under the Minimum Support Price Scheme (MSP), 6.69 lakh farmers sold paddy cultivated over 12.2 lakh hectares in 2024. As part of the Mukhyamantri Krishak Pronnati Yojana, paddy farmers will receive Rs 4,000 per hectare, amounting to a total additional benefit of Rs 488 crore for farmers in the state. Similarly, wheat farmers will get a bonus of Rs 175 per quintal, over and above the MSP of Rs 2,425 per quintal, bringing the total price per quintal to Rs 2,600. This year, wheat procurement in the state is estimated at 80 lakh metric tons, ensuring an additional benefit of Rs 1,400 crore for farmers.
