Shimla, Jun 16 (Reporter) The maximum temperature at Una in Himachal Pradesh was recorded at 44.6 degrees Celsius on Sunday, which was around six to seven degree C above normal. Indian Meteorological department said that the maximum temperature rose to 44.6 degrees Celsius on Sunday, which was 7.3 degrees above normal. The maximum temperature at Shimla and Manali increased to 31 degrees Celsius, about five to six degrees above normal. It was also higher at other places in the state. Mandi reported 40.7 degrees C, about nine degrees above normal; Dhaulakuna in Sirmour was 43.7 degrees, Bilaspur-43.2 degrees, Hamirpur-42.4 degrees, Sundernagar-41.6 degrees, Kangra-41.4 degrees, Berthin-41.3 degrees, Chamba-41 degrees. Met office has issued an orange alert of heatwave for next two days, however there may be some respite from heatwave from June 19 onwards as forcast of rain and thunderstorms is issued at few places on June 19 and 20 in the state...////...
