Chennai, Oct 8 (UNI In a big boost to industrial development, the Tamil Nadu Cabinet chaired
by Chief Minister M K Stalin on Tuesday approve 14 new investment proposals to the tune of
Rs 38,698.80 crores that would offer 46,931 jobs.
This is the first Cabinet meeting held after the reshuffle of the Council of Ministers recently in
which former Minister V.Senthilbalaji was-re-inducted after getting bail from Supreme Court in
a PMLA case and elevation of Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin as the Deputy Chief Minister, besides
re-allocation of portfolios of some Ministers.
Among the key projects cleared at the Cabinet meeting held at the State Secretariat, was the
Rs 13,180 crore investment by Taiwan headquartered Foxconn's Yuzhan Technology that would generate 14,000 jobs.
Under the MoU signed with the State government recently, Foxconn would set up an assembling
unit for smartphone display modules for Apple.
Talking to reporters after the meeting, Finance Minister Thangam Thennarasu and Industries Minister T R B Raaja said this was one of the single largest investment proposals cleared by the Cabinet along with 13 others that would give a major fillip to the Industrial development.
The projects were spread over 12 districts across the State involving various sectors.
Later, a post on X, Mr Raaja said "More #investments, more #JobsForTN!".
"Under the leadership of Honourable @CMOTamilNadu Thiru. @MKStalin
avargal the #TNCabinet has today approved 14 new projects with an investment commitment of
Rs. 38,698 crores, enabling the creation of 46,931 jobs!",he said.
"A big portion of these jobs are HIGH paying #JobsforEngineers ...", he wrote.
These projects will be spread across 12 districts and span diverse sectors including auto & EV, electronics, green energy, telecom equipment, and advanced manufacturing,
Mr Raaja said.

to grounding them, and transforming them into high-quality jobs and industrial output!", he said, adding, "#DravidianModel #TNDistributedGrowth".
In another post in Tamil, Mr Raaja said "in this special meeting, 14 leading companies in Kanchipuram, Ranipet, Ariyalur and other areas of Tamil Nadu approved to make industrial investments to the tune of 38 thousand 698 crore rupees. Through this initiative, 47 thousand
youth will get employment."
"With the efforts of the honorable Chief Minister, we are very happy to see Tamil Nadu become
the leading state in the Indian Union in terms of industry and job creation", he said...////...
