Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav praised the women of Shri Mahila Grih Udyog, who have made Lijjat Papad a renowned brand, as a symbol of women’s empowerment and collective strength. During his visit to the Lijjat Papad Bhavan in Jabalpur, he had a heartfelt interaction with the women working there.
Congratulating the Lijjat family for economically empowering over 2,500 women through their journey from a small home-based unit to a nationally reputed brand, Dr. Yadav said, “This establishment is nothing short of a temple of labor, where work brings blessings.” He emphasized that the delicious taste and success of Lijjat products, both in India and abroad, are the result of the women’s dedication.
The Chief Minister, along with other public representatives, inspected the production processes and facilities at the premises. He also announced a grant of ₹5 lakh to Shri Mahila Grih Udyog from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
Dr. Yadav stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government is committed to the welfare of women, youth, the poor, and farmers. Referring to the recent Kisan Udyog Samagam in Narsinghpur, he said the government is ensuring the availability of quality seeds, fertilizers, and modern equipment to farmers, as well as working to provide better market value for their produce. He also noted the promotion of food processing industries as a means to generate rural employment.
