Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, while addressing a mass marriage ceremony held under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana in Rampura village of Kalapipal tehsil, Shajapur district, on Wednesday, said that Indian culture is generous and profound. He noted that there is no other culture in the world where every phase of life is marked by sacred rituals—from birth to death—including marriage.A total of 1,247 marriages were solemnized during the ceremony, with 1,133 girls married as per Hindu traditions and 114 Nikahs conducted under Islamic customs. Under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana, each newly married couple was provided a cheque of ₹49,000 as financial assistance.
