New Delhi, Aug 16 (Reporter) With the Election Commission of India having announced the Assembly poll schedule in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge appointed Tariq Hameed Karra as the Pradesh Congress Committee president with immediate effect. With the appointment of Karra as the J&K PCC chief, the party relieved him as the permanent invitee, Congress Working Committee. According to a statement issued by party General Secretary K C Venugopal, Kharge also appointed Tara Chand and Raman Bhalla as working presidents. Moreover, Vikar Rasool Wani was appointed as special invitee, Congress Working Committee with immediate effect. Meanwhile, the Congress chief appointed Keshav Mahto Kamlesh as president of Jharkhand PCC with immediate effect.
