Mumbai, May 26 (Reporter) A fluent 57 from Suryakumar Yadav and late cameos from Hardik Pandya and Naman Dhir propelled Mumbai Indians to 184 for 7 in their 20 overs against Punjab Kings at the Wankhede Stadium here on Monday. Put in to bat, Mumbai had a brisk start through Ryan Rickelton (27 off 20) and Rohit Sharma (24 off 21), but lost momentum in the middle overs with regular wickets pegging them back. Skipper Hardik Pandya played a breezy 26 off 15 balls, while Naman Dhir chipped in with a quickfire 20 off 12 to keep the scoreboard ticking. The Punjab bowlers shared the spoils. Arshdeep was the pick, finishing with 2 for 28, including the key wickets of Suryakumar, and Dhir. Marco Jansen grabbed 2 for 34, striking crucial blows at the top and death. Vijaykumar Vyshak returned 2 for 44 despite an expensive penultimate over. Punjab’s bowlers held Mumbai to just 33 runs in the last 4 overs, curbing what looked like a possible 200-plus total.
