Subhankar Sarkar replaces Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury as Bengal PCC chief

New Delhi, Sep 21 (Reporter) The Congress on Saturday appointed Subhankar Sarkar as the West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee president with immediate effect. Sarkar has replaced Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury as the West Bengal unit chief. In a statement, party general secretary KC Venugopal said that the appointment was made by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge. Venugopal said that Sarkar has been relieved from his current position as AICC secretary.
