Philadelphia/New Delhi, Sep 21 (Reporter) Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the US on a three-day visit to a rousing welcome from the Indian diaspora. He said the discussions held during the Quad Summit and the bilateral meeting with US President Joe Biden later today will contribute to making the planet better. PM Modi, who arrived in Philadelphia International Airport, was greeted by India’s envoy to the US and former Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra and other officials. In a post on X, the PM said: “Landed in Philadelphia. Today’s programme will be focused on the Quad Summit and the bilateral meeting with @POTUS @JoeBiden. I am sure the discussions throughout the day will contribute to making our planet better and addressing key global challenges.” On the enthusiastic welcome from the Indian diaspora at his hotel, he posted: “An energetic welcome in Philadelphia! Our diaspora’s blessings are greatly cherished.” He also informed about Sunday’s address to the Indian community in Long Island. “The Indian community has distinguished itself in the USA, making a positive impact across diverse sectors. It’s always a delight to interact with them. At around 9:30 PM India time on Sunday, 22nd September, I will address the @ModiandUS programme in New York City. Let’s celebrate the bonds that connect our nations!” The MEA spokesperson posted on X: “PM @narendramodi arrives in the historic city of Philadelphia. An action packed day with engagements in bilateral and Quad formats in Wilmington, Delaware lies ahead. Stay tuned!” PM Modi will proceed in the afternoon to Wilmington, Delaware, the hometown of President Biden, for a bilateral meeting with the US President, during which a few agreements are set to be inked.
