Chennai, June 5 (Reporter) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin on Wednesday met Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief N Chandrababu Naidu, who is all set to take over as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, at the Delhi airport and stressed on strengthening ties between the two brotherly states. Mr Stlain exuded confidence that Mr Naidu will play a crucial role in the Union Government, advocating for the southern states and protecting our rights. Mr Stalin is in Delhi to attend the Opposition-Congress-led INDIA alliance meeting after the bloc emerged strongly in the Lok Sabha polls, denying a simple majority for the BJP, while Mr Naidu too visited the National capital for the NDA meet. He said he met Mr Naidu at the airport. In a social media post, Mr Stalin said "Met Thiru @ncbn garu, a longtime friend of Thalaivar Kalaignar, at Delhi Airport. I conveyed my best wishes to him and expressed hope that we will collaborate to strengthen the ties between the brotherly states of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh." "I am confident that he will play a crucial role in the Union Government, advocating for the southern states and protecting our rights”, he added.
