Stalin announces solatium to families of four who die of electrocution

Chennai, Mar 2 (Reporter) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin announced a solatium of Rs five lakh to the families of four people who died of electrocution while undertaking decorative works for a Church festival at Killiyur in Kanniyakumari district. The incident occurred on Saturday evening when the victims were repositioning an iron ladder while engaged in decorative work when it came into contact with a high tension live wire. All the four identified as Vijayan (52), Osman (34), Soben (45) and Justus (35), died on the spot after suffering heavy shock. Expressing deep anguish and grief over their deaths, Mr Stalin, in a statement on Sunday announced a solatium of Rs five lakh each to their families from the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund.
