Chennai, Feb 20 (Reporter) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin on Thursday announced a financial assistance of Rs four lakh to the family of a person who was killed in a cracker manufacturing unit blast at Aanayur village ear Sivakasi in the southern Virudhunagar district. He also announced an assistance of Rs one lakh to another worker who sustained injuries in the incident and undergoing treatment at a hospital. In a statement here, Mr Stalin expressed deep shock and grief over the death of Suresh (38) in the explosion and the injured Palpandi (31), who was being treated at the Sivakasi Government hospital. While directing the hospital authorities to provide the best of treatment to the injured, Mr Stalin offered his condolences and announced Rs four lakh assistance to the bereaved family members and Rs one lakh to the family of the injured person from the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund...////...
