Amethi (UP), April 29 (Reporter) Union Minister and sitting MP Smriti Irani, who is seeking reelection for the second consecutive term, filed her nomination from the Amethi parliamentary constituency on Monday. Smriti Irani was accompanied by Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Mohan Yadav. Before filing her nomination the union minister took out a roadshow. Addressing the people, she exuded confidence that just like in 2019, the people of Amethi will recreate history. She said: "I want to tell respected MP CM Mohan Yadavji that the workers of Amethi had created history in Indian politics in 2019. Ordinary workers of Amethi defeated the national president of Congress in his bastion." Speaking on the occasion, the MP CM said that he has a deep relationship with Amethi. "Amethi was earlier a part of Sultanpur district where my in-laws live. I am very pleased coming here," he said. Attacking the Congress, Mohan Yadav said that the party is desperate to see a Congress candidate in Amethi, but still no one is coming forward as they know that Smriti Irani is a strong candidate.
