Alwar, May 27 (Reporter) Six people were duped of about Rs 34 lakh by a purported business proposal promising four-time returns on investment in cryptocurrency and Delta Coin in Alwar district of Rajasthan, police said on Tuesday. Police said a complaint was lodged at the Aravali Vihar police station on Monday evening against Rajesh Saini and Hina Saini, residents of Dausa district and Alwar's Dhai Padi, respectively, for allegedly cheating six persons of Rs 34 lakh. The complainants, Brijesh Kumar of Sukhdev Nagar, Ashok Kumar of Meena Padi, Gaurav of Galib Saiyad mohalla, and Sangita Meena of Malviya Nagar, alleged that they met Rajesh Saini and Hina Saini, on August 13, 2023, at the Headquarters Beer Bar, Bhagat Singh Circle, who promised them returns on investment in Delta Coin cryptocurrency. The accused told them that they would get 2.5 times returns on their investment within 200 days. They also claimed to have a team of 1,000 people who had earned Rs 50 crore in cryptocurrency last year. Believing their claims, the complainants transferred Rs 33.80 lakh to the accused accounts, but did not receive any profit. The police have registered a case and started an investigation...////...
