Notably, an accused booked for theft case from Kathua was lodged in Police Station Gandhi Nagar Jammu. He was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the lock-up. "After enquiry, the SHO has been attached to the District Police Line while one ASI and a constable are suspended for negligence," said police sources.
